My story
conCISE is a dream long in the making.
I met Contact Improvisation in 1996. I loved it, and it scared me. Jams were wild. Touch consent was often assumed. I often stayed on the fringes until I noticed I did that in other areas of my life too. I decided to make jams my lab for exploring my responses to life. Like many assigned-female-at-birth (AFAB) people I had to unlearn patterns of appeasing, freezing--I had to learn to express NO so I could fully trust and express my YES. I kept at it. Years later, I started teaching CI in conjunction with my skills as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. I'm a licensed MFT (CA:MFT45718, OR:T2139) and somatic consultant for therapists.
Come play with me and grow.
